Mess on the bank and the Gate
It has been reported that people are leaving
their excrement and toilet paper on the bank.
please purchase a porta loo (about £50) or even just a bucket and a few plastic
bags if you are staying on the lake too long to hold it in, failure to comply
and you will risk loosing your card.
Also a member has been banned from the club for failing to close the gate - if
you do not close and lock the gate you will risk loosing your card.
THE CLUBS NEW WATER
We can fish our new stretch of water from 1st July, we do allow night fishing.
We also have an agreement with the next two stretches to share their waters.

Total length about 5 miles from Cheswardine road bridge to Hinstock road bridge
Our stretch is from bridge 55 to bridge 58 but we may also fish the Hinstock and White stretches.

The price for an associate membership ticket for the 2009 season is;
£115 for ALL associate members.
There
are no concessions for associate members.
There have been past instances of associate members being given a reduced
rate, this was not sanctioned at an AGM and will no longer happen.
Members are reminded that club fees are due on the 1st January and
failure to pay by 28th February will result in your place being
offered to someone else.
Membership Questions
I will be quite happy to respond to any emails I receive, but I will try an answer the main questions I get asked here. The first thing is, (unless you live within 3 mile of Wem town hall) you need to know two existing members of the club that have held a club card for a least five full seasons, these two members will act as guarantees. Other than obvious reasons for security, the reason the club asks for sponsors is to reduce the amount of applications. Very few Wem Angling club cards become available each season because it is such good value for money that anglers tend to hold on to their cards.

There are two types of Application form :-
1. Is for local anglers who live within 10 miles of Wem
town Hall.
2. Is for associate anglers who live outside the 10 mile
radius of Wem Town Hall
Once you have printed off the application form fill it in
with the relevant Information and send it to the address
shown at the bottom of the form (note new addresses), also enclose a stamped
addressed envelope. It would be advisable to take copies
of everything as it may be unlikely you will get into the
club at the first time of asking.
There is now no need to keep applying at the start of every year don't just
presume you have been put on the waiting list.
For ex-members who wish to re-join the club you still
have to fill out an application form, so follow the
instructions shown above.
